Position Summary:
Our Darien Learning Center is seeking an energetic, responsible, detail-oriented Office Manager with good phone etiquette. This position is full-time with benefits. The Office Manager reports to the Center Director and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily office operations primarily through the management of client accounts, scheduling, and collecting and processing payments for a busy Learning Center. S/he is also responsible for the organization and completion of marketing details and events for their center. S/he will develop relationships with students and parents to model Lindamood-Bell`s culture of friendly customer service in a warm and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate must be professional, possess strong problem solving, organizational and customer service skills, and be computer literate (Excel and MS Word for Macs).
Responsibilities:
- Manage and respond to all of the operational needs of the center
- Generate and maintain the weekly student/clinician schedule, coordinate clinician and consultant schedules, and communicate and handle all schedule changes
- Answer all questions about Lindamood-Bell operations, schedules, accounts, financial aid and billing procedures
- Manage accounts receivable: creating invoices, processing credit card and check payments, and making bank deposits
- Complete accurate payroll bi-weekly
- Answer phones and provide general information about Lindamood-Bell services
- Oversee and maintain the appearance and upkeep of the center and its technology
- Schedule and maintain appointments for Center Director, Associate Center Director and Consultants
- Organize screening and interviewing of potential employees
- Oversee and organize all safety procedures
- Communicate with corporate departments regarding center or corporate requests
Requirements:
- Some college, Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in fast paced office environment
- Ability to take initiative and to work independently
- Strong communication (both verbal and written) skills
- Outstanding problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Enthusiasm and passion for impacting the education industry
- Desire to work in an environment with children and families
